Design Choices for Productive Landscapes

“Design Choices for Productive Landscapes” is the title of the opening workshop that Jono Neiger ‘03 will present at the 19th Annual Conference of the ELA (Ecological Landscaping Association) on February 27th and 28th in Springfield, MA.

In the workshop, Neiger will review the design elements and planting patterns he uses for edible landscapes, and will explain why engaging landowners in the design and care of their land is critical to developing their sense of stewardship.

Neiger is principal of Regenerative Design Group, and teaches at Conway in the fall and spring when his focus on whole systems design and regenerative techniques are applied at the site-specific level.

ELA’s conference, with its focus on building ecological connections, is a great place to make professional connections and build networks, as well as reconnect with the many Conway alums who frequently attend.  Get more information on this excellent two-day conference at www.ecolandscaping.org.
