This fall term, Conway’s Class of 2024 is working on individual ecological design projects in nearby cities, towns, and countrysides. They will present conceptual designs and recommendations grounded in the process of site analysis. The design solutions strive to fit the needs of the clients to the specific ecology of the site while upholding the school’s mission. We invite a panel of outside critics, and their comments will help guide revisions the students will make over the final weeks of the term.

Residential projects are located within an hour’s drive of our campus. Properties range in size from small urban and suburban lots to multiple acre rural sites. From drainage issues to structure siting, access issues to concerns about aging in place, projects present the class with a diversity of site conditions and design challenges. Non-residential projects include pocket parks, conservation properties, community gardens, schoolyards, green cemeteries, and other landscapes open to visitors.

We welcome prospective students, prospective clients, alums, and anyone else interested in learning about the Conway School to attend remotely via Zoom.
