In recent years, the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of food and housing costs have exacerbated existing inequities in food systems across scales. This study analyzes existing infrastructure, organizations, and services to identify gaps in, and barriers to, equitable food access and production in the City of Pittsfield. The study provides recommendations for the City and local non-profits to foster resilience in the local food system and promote food sovereignty among Pittsfield residents.
