Greenfield’s Bicycle Network: A Path to Safer Connectivity

Brian Burke, Grace Morton, Bennett Zimmerman

The City of Greenfield is exploring ways to develop a connected network of bike routes to encourage safe and comfortable cycling. Students from the Conway School evaluated existing bike infrastructure, roadway conditions, and community input to identify areas where improvements would be most impactful to the community. The student team sited potential bike routes by conducting an in-depth analysis of both physical and social conditions. The resulting plan outlines a comprehensive bike network for Greenfield. A bicycle network could encourage more Greenfield residents to choose cycling for transportation and recreation by improving mobility, safety, and connectivity.
